Mountain Warehouse Canyon jacket

My personal Holy Grail when it comes to coats has been to get a waterproof jacket that doesn’t look like a waterproof jacket and, in Mountain Warehouse’s Canyon jacket, I’ve finally found one. I’ve got nothing against a traditional looking waterproof coat, they’re just not really my style.

This coat really fits the bill as it is lovely and warm (tested during a particularly chilly trip to an outdoor museum!), with the fur trimmed hood being a welcome addition. This hood is also detachable for days when you might not need it; although, with a waterproof coat, I’m not sure why you’d ever remove the hood as you never know when you might get caught in a downpour and need it.

There are more pockets than you could ever possibly fill, making this a very practical jacket for when you’re out and about. I loved the mobile phone pocket inside the jacket, the only issue I had was that my iPhone didn’t fit in it! Lovely idea though so I’d recommend making it a touch bigger.

I found this to be a very stylish coat, more like a parka than your usual waterproof jacket; meaning that you can wear it for walks in the rain (if that’s your thing!) and for trips to the shops, without feeling like you look as though you’ve just come directly from walking on the fells.

About Sarah Jackson

I started running when I was watching a TV show about celebrities trying various diets from around the world and realised that I was the same weight as Cheryl Baker from Bucks Fizz and that she was classed as overweight. I immediately downloaded a Couch to 5K app and the version that I did got me to 5k in 8 weeks. Enjoy yourself and give it some welly!
